A kitchen is where the magic happens. A perfect amount of the ingredients, a dash of the spices, kept on just the perfect amount of heat and a delicacy is served. Although bringing water to the mouths, the process of cooking makes the kitchen dirty.

If not cleaned, the kitchen can lead to health issues. But cleaning a kitchen is not easy either. To help you in the endeavor here is a guide on how to clean a kitchen, step-by-step.

Start with the deck

Start by sorting things out. After the cooking is done or even during the cooking, keep all the kitchen items to their designated places once they have been used. For the items which do not belong in the kitchen, keep them in a basket and move them once you have finished your cooking.

Now the sink

Following the deck cleaning, run hot, soapy water in the sink and drop the items that require soaking into it. These may include the microwave turnover, the large pots, and bowls. Also, put your dirty dishes in a dishwasher.

Spraying

Use an all-purpose cleaner to clean your kitchen. Spray on the countertops and the stovetops and leave them for the cleaner to do its job.

The refrigerator

Take a detour to your refrigerator. Throw away all the expired food and dirty food. Also, soak the dirty food containers in the soapy sink water. Clean the shelves and make sure the contents are all fresh.

The clean-up

Next, you need to clear the top surfaces of your kitchen. Use a long-handled duster and clean across the entire perimeter of the room including the lightings, the refrigerator top, and the cabinet tops.

Wiping

For the wiping, you need to dip a rag in soapy water. Now start wiping the doors, the cabinets, the walls. Use a wet sponge to wipe the insides of your microwave. The spray which you applied on the surfaces before has done its job and you can now wipe the surfaces. If stains are a little hard to remove, use a little bit of baking soda.

Keep wiping

Dip another rag in soapy water and wipe the refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven surfaces, handles and outside edges. Also, wipe down the lower cabinet doors and drawers. For stainless steel appliances, dilute the water with vinegar.

Back to the sink

The items which have been soaking in the sink must now be placed in the dishwasher or be washed by hand. Rinse the sink with hot water after draining it. Use a little bit of baking soda to clean the basin. Rinse it again and wipe down the faucet and handles.

Moping

For the final part, use the latest steam mop in the market to mop the floor. Cover the entire perimeter of the floor and use a bucket. Empty the bucket outside or in the toilet. Follow this by throwing away the trash. Wipe the inside of the can and replace the plastic.
